Immersive installation

An immersive installation is a large-scale environment that surrounds viewers and responds to their presence or movement, often through projection, sound, and sensors. Rather than viewing a work on a wall, the audience moves through it. Collectives such as teamLab and artists like Refik Anadol have made the form a fixture of museums and dedicated venues since the 2010s.
